Newly-married, pregnant Chicago high school teacher Samantha Abbott (Cobie Smulders) struggles with what she wants to do once the baby is born. Her husband wants her to be a stay-at-home mom, but she’s reluctant to give up her career. At school, Samantha discovers Jasmine, one of her students, is unexpectedly pregnant.
