Comedy

Aleksandra has it all: a dream job at the head of a large women’s magazine, a luxury apartment in the heart of the 7th arrondissement of Paris, a supermodel wardrobe, a husband who sells art and who is the envy of all the other women, and even a lover who’s a bestselling author. The only thing missing in her life is a child. Through friends and a bribe, within three months, Aleksandra obtains approval to adopt an orphan. But after her first contact with Aleksei, a seven-year-old boy from Russia, the dream fades. The child is not as cute as the pictures. Turbulent, angry, he doesn’t speak a word of French. And despite the presence of a nanny at home, the new parents are not able to make a place for him in their lives, which are filled with luxury and appearances. It gets to the point where Aleksandra starts to question her desire for motherhood.
