Mary (Debra Winger) and Michael (Tracy Letts) have been married many years, but the passion has long since disappeared from their lives. Michael is carrying on an affair with a dance teacher named Lucy, while Mary is having a fling with a younger man (Aidan Gillen). They both tell their respective partners they’re going to put an end to their marriage. Just as Mary and Michael have made up their minds to ask for a divorce, a spark between them suddenly reignites, leading them into an impulsive romance.
