After fighting with Richard following a drunken night in a bar, Romy decides to change her life, leave the security of her marriage and travel alone. During her journey across the American landscape in search of answers, she meets many people including a cowboy (Norman Reedus), a police officer (Joshua Jackson), and a young woman (Lena Dunham).
