A terminally ill elderly billionaire (Ben Kingsley) who is dying from cancer buys a chance for eternal life through an experimental underground medical procedure called “shedding,” which transfers his consciousness into the body of a younger man (Ryan Reynolds), who recently died. Although having a handsome younger body comes with many perks, it soon promises to become a nightmare when he experiences flashbacks about his body’s old life, in which the young man had a loving wife and daughter. Unable to avoid the temptation to return to this family, he discovers a secret organization that will kill to keep their cause quiet.
