On a visit to a dude ranch, Scooby-Doo and the gang learn that the ranch and the nearby town of Sorghum City are being haunted by the ghost of a cowboy named Dapper Jack. When the owners of the dude ranch remark on how much Shaggy (Matthew Lillard) looks like Dapper Jack, he finds out to his dismay that the outlaw is his ancestor. Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, Fred and Scooby-Doo start investigating in order to save the ranch before it’s too late.
