Political consultant Jane Bodine (Sandra Bullock) has come out of retirement to work for Bolivian presidential candidate Castillo (Joaquim De Almeida). She wants to beat Pat Candy (Billy Bob Thornton), an old rival, who’s working for the current leading contender. Unfortunately for her, Castillo isn’t the best campaigner and Pat Candy has some tricks up his sleeve. After a potentially damaging incident for Castillo’s career, master manipulator Jane twists his image and makes him out to be an iron-fisted, determined leader of the people.
