CEO Miss Chang (Sylvia Chang) is preparing to list her billion-dollar company on the stock exchange. After all, the company’s chairman Ho Chung-ping (Chow Yun-fat) has promised her a wealth of shares once the company goes public. Everything seems to be going to plan until an audit exposes backroom wheeling and dealing and puts Ho Chung-ping’s promises into question. Matters are made worse by the arrival of Lee Xiang (Wang Ziyi), an optimistic upstart whose idealism further hampers Chang and Ho’s scheming.
