In the late 1970s, in the Oise region in the north of France, Franck, a serial killer, picks up young hitchhikers and murders them, while working as a police officer who belongs to the team conducting the investigation. A game of cat and mouse is set in motion when he sends letters to his colleagues, describing his murderous intentions. Meanwhile, Franck barely maintains ties with his parents, who mock his uncommunicative demeanor. He punishes himself with self mutilation, but it doesn’t stop his obsession with his prey.
