Uruguay, 1997. Jacob Kaplan, a Polish Jew who fled Europe just before the war, is bored with his wife Rebecca. Even worse, he feels he hasn’t done anything meaningful in his life. Unable to get a driving license because of his erratic driving, the 76-year-old man has to impose on his eldest son Wilson to be his personal driver. Alcoholic and clumsy, Wilson is persuaded to participate in a plan to capture an octogenarian German restaurateur suspected of being a Nazi war criminal, and transport him to Israel aboard a small boat. Inspired by the capture of Adolf Eichmann by Mossad in Buenos Aires in 1960, the plan has serious loopholes.
