Vidya Sinha (Vidya Balan) lives happily with her daughter Mini in the sleepy town of Chandan Nagore. A loving mother, Vidya lives for her child and dotes on her day and night. However, one day Mini goes missing. While trying to locate her, Vidya is involved in a freak car accident that leaves her comatose. Inspector Inderjeet Singh (Arjun Rampal) is tasked with investigating the hit and run that put Vidya in a coma, and unknowingly uncovers a dangerous criminal past that may implicate Vidya in the kidnapping of her daughter.
