Miles away from civilization, this multimedia specialist, who has torn himself away from the frenetic pace of the big city, learns to slow down and watch time pass. The long and rough winter, as well as the wilderness that surrounds him, brings him joy, but also trials. One of them might have cost him his life, had it not been for the unexpected help of Aleksei, a Russian who lives the life of a hermit in the hills overlooking the lake. A friendship quickly develops between the two men. But it must remain secret. Aleksei is wanted for murder.
