Hard-working snow plough driver Nils (Stellan Skarsgård) has just been named Citizen of The Year in his small Norwegian town. Unfortunately, his celebration is cut short when he learns that his son has died. The official report claims it was an accidental heroin overdose, but Nils doesn’t believe it. On a quest to uncover the truth behind his son’s death, he finds evidence that actually leads to murder. He discovers that his son was actually a victim in a turf war between a local crime boss named “The Count,” and his Serbian rivals. Armed with heavy machinery and an iron will, Nils seeks revenge against his son’s killers, but soon finds himself embroiled in a full-blown (and bloody) underground gang war.
