Based on the book by Doug Stanton, Horse Soldiers tells the true story of Captain Mitch Nelson (Chris Hemsworth) and his U.S. Special Forces team. Following the events of 9/11, they are sent to invade a mountainous region of Afghanistan on horseback in an effort to aid Afghan fighters and their efforts to overtake the Taliban and their control of the city of Mazar-i-Sharif.
