BBC Worldwide North America and Cineplex Events are bringing Doctor Who: the Power of the Daleks to theaters across Canada for a one-night only event on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, in celebration of its BBC premiere exactly 50 years ago. One of the most beloved of the Doctor Who adventures, Doctor Who: The Power of the Daleks was destroyed by an archive purge in 1974, with no known full recordings or master negatives having survived. However, thanks to brand-new animation, along with original audio recordings, surviving photographs and film clips, the story of the first Doctor Who — William Hartnell — and his battle with the Daleks on the planet Vulcan will again seen the light of day. The full six-part story also features added bonus content, including interviews with members of the original cast.
