A resident at a boarding school nestled in the Argentine mountains, Lila, twelve, has only one wish: to go in search of the father she never knew, whose identity her mother refused to reveal. Jimena, her devoted biology professor, decides to help Lila in her quest. Lila only has one small clue to go on: a brass plate with the address of a power company her father worked for inscribed on it. When they arrive at the address, Jimena and Lila find out the company in question no longer exists. Luckily, an elderly resident with a good memory recalls a former installer with numerous illegitimate children who lives in the village of Canada Morrison, 200 kilometers from the school.
