Two disparate cultures come together in peace under the banner of friendship and good food in this documentary from director Hamid Rahmanian. He was a loving husband and father who brought his family from North Korea to New York City in hopes of giving them a brighter future. Now, after learning that he does not have long to live, the father invites his longtime friend (Rahmanian) over to cook one last Iranian meal for himself and his family. Over the course of this meal something truly spectacular will happen, two cultures that couldn’t be more different will come together at one table to celebrate a life marked by selflessness and unwavering devotion to family.
