Nicholas Hathaway (Chris Hemsworth) is in prison for robbing millions of dollars from a bank using his cyber hacking skills. When a Chinese nuclear plant blows up due to sabotagers, followed by tampering with world financial markets, Nicholas gets a visit. His skills are needed to stop a team of cyber criminals, so he negotiates a deal to have his sentence commuted if he can identify and apprehend the group. Nicholas teams up with American and Chinese partners to investigate the cyber attack, but runs into conflict when the American government is less than cooperative because of the Chinese involvement.
