Aurore, a famous classical pianist whose career is ruled with an iron hand by her brother, feels burned out. As she relaxes at the family home on the French Riviera, she meets Jean, an electrician who owns a small security company, who has come to install a new alarm system. For both of them, it is love at first sight. But Aurora soon learns that Jean is married to Dolores, a possessive saleswoman. In spite of that, Aurora and Jean decide to embark on a life together. When Dolores finds out about their romance, she goes to great lengths to put a stop to it.
