Eyad, a Palestinian-Israeli boy from the town of Tira, is sent to a prestigious Jewish boarding school in Jerusalem by his parents. He struggles with the language, the culture, and his identity at school as he tries to find his way in a place where war goes on constantly around him. Feeling out of place, Eyad comes to realize that in order to be accepted as an equal and allay people’s suspicions, in order to work, to love, and, above all, to belong – he has to make personal sacrifices.
