Recent college graduate William Bowman (Jake Croker) has high hopes for his future, certain that his job at a fast food restaurant will lead to bigger and better opportunities. Thanks to nepotism, he lands a job in high finance, and his optimistic attitude and willingness to follow the rules get him noticed at the company. However, things soon start to go wrong when a takeover bid winds up with him being fired. William becomes a travelling salesman of Christian fundamentalist propaganda books, is lured into a reality TV show, and even finds himself hosting a public execution.
